Sunday was delightful for me. I first went to Larchmont for brunch with my 4 fabulous friends at Prospectors for their delicious buffet, which includes bacon, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, biscuits, and cream-chipped beef, and also an omelet station and amazing brunch drinks like bloody Mary and mimosas. Prospectors is located at 3050 NJ-38 Mount Laurel, NJ: https://www.prospectorsrestaurant.com
After brunch, My gal pal Lynn Nash and I went to Amalthea Cellars Farm Winery at 209 Vinyard Rd, Atco, NJ. http://amaltheacellars.com This place is beautiful, and the employees are very knowledgeable about every bottle of different types of wines during their tastings. The wine flight tastings vary in price. For instance, 1 Wine Flight is $6.00 per person, 2 wine flights are $ 10.00, and 3 is $15.00. You can even get a complimentary tasting of their wine Cantina Mas, a Harvest blend of Barbera, Zinfandel, and Petit Sirah. If you want to buy the Cantina Mas, the big pouch bag is $42.00, and refills are $ 36.00.
You have a choice of White Wine Flight, Red Wine flight, and Off-Dry Wine flight (which I tried, and Lynn did the Red Wine flight ); after that, I bought 3 bottles. One of them is my first time buying, after hearing so much about it on the CBS Morning shows, is an orange wine called Vidal Blanc Le Orange. It is Orange in color but not in taste. It's a white wine made by leaving the skins and seeds in contact with the juice, which leaves a deep orange-hued finished product. If you are in Atco, NJ, check Amalthea Cellars during the fall harvest season.
Our next stop is a new brewery in Atco, NJ called "Whims Brewing," located at 302 White Horse Pike B-1,2,3, 302 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. (Google Maps has this address, no kidding). https://www.whimsbrewing.com/. This place has a homey vibe, beautiful plants, couches with coffee tables, and a big-screen television to watch sports on. The Brewery creates a lovely selection of beer and hard seltzers with various fruits, herbs, and flowers. They have no flight samples, so you have to purchase individual small 5oz glasses for $3.00; a few are $4.00, too, so go check Whims out!
