Last month, after a long day of work, I decided to see my good friend Sandy Zio, who's a singer and musician, at a lovely winery called Working Dog Winery, located at 610 Windsor Perrineville Rd. Hightstown, NJ. workingdogwinerynj.com. Located in the rolling hills of eastern Mercer County, their vineyard began with just 3 acres of Cabernet Franc & Chardonnay. Established in 2001 by a small group of friends united by a passion for winemaking, Working Dog began as a shared dream rooted in friendship, agriculture, & craftsmanship. 17 acres, 12 different grape varieties, and tons of awards are what make Working Dog Winery so special. Working Dog is open year-round Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with live music, food trucks, and a cute shop. It is also BYOF (Bring Your Own Food), and you can host private events; just complete their questionnaire, and one of their representatives will contact you soon.
