Many breweries in the New Jersey area have BYOF (Your Own Food policy, but this particular brewery chain has a sure restaurant to please customers and friends together. Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant www.ironhillbrewery.com was founded in the 1990s when Kevin Finn received a home brewing for his wife on her birthday. What began as a fun hobby became a passion leading them to brewing competitions and win numerous awards. Four years later, the couple met restaurant professional Kevin Davies, and the trio decided to an innovative brewery and restaurant. Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant was established on November 14th, 1996, at147 East Main., Newark, Delaware. Within Iron Hill entered the American Association's Great American Beer Festival (GABF), the industry's premier competition.
In 1998, the three opened another location in West Chester, PA. The rest, as they say, is history. In 2020, amid COVID-19, Iron Hill continued to push forward with two locations by the end of the year: one in Atlanta, GA, and one in Exton, PA, which will open as Iron Hill Brewery TapHouse. With the new large-scale production at the Exton location, Iron Hill entered the off-premise beer market, with availability at retail markets in Delaware, Southern PA, and South NJ.
Iron Hill's menu is exceptional; you order a variety of superb tap-table food such as Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls, Jumbo Bavarian pretzels, truffle fries, and nachos. I was in the Maple Shade location over the holidays, and I had the Pub Burger with thick-cut bacon sharp cheddar, and smoked gouda on a pretzel bun. Mugs (for the cost of a regular pint) and receive very cool exclusive perks and offers at all Iron Hill restaurants and TapHouse locations.
