I took a lovely drive to Central NJ, where there is much history and beautiful places to eat, drink, and find peaceful, fun things to do.
First, I visited Sayen House & Gardens at 155 Hughes Dr., Hamilton Square, NJ. This 30-acre park and house was founded by Frederick Sayen in 1912, an avid gardener and a world traveler. He built a bungalow-style home and surrounded the place with plants and flowers from all over the world, including China, England, & Japan. There are also beautiful ponds with different species of koi, about 3 Gazebos, and beautiful memorial benches to honor the loved ones who passed. You can reserve the place for private affairs such as birthday parties, weddings, business functions, and picnics.
The house can accommodate up to 98 guests, and they have 3 catering companies you can book.
With all that walking I did, I really got hungry, so I drove to this charming restaurant called Historic Rocking Hill Inn & Tavern. The prices are very reasonable, the service is professional, and the food is delicious. I had Fish and chips with Slaw and a cold glass of hard cider. Oh, and their Bread pudding with cranberries is all right, too.
The restaurant is located at 137 Washington St, Rocky Hill, NJ.

My Last stop in Central Jersey was this beautiful historic Kingston Grist Mill and Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park Trail. If you like Fishing, Biking, Running, or just want to take in the sights and sounds of nature, this is where you should come. A lot of history surrounds the Red Wooden Mill building and an old stone bridge that dates back to the battle of Princeton in 1777.
Located at 2 Old Lincon Hwy, Princeton, NJ
