Saying good-bye to Versi Vino

     It is difficult to accept when a popular restaurant closes its doors permanently, especially when Wine Bar & Kitchen closes at the end of the month. Versi Vino, located on Route 38 in Maple Shade, had the best ambiance, food, and cocktails for girls' night out or date night. Versi Vino opened 4 years ago in 2021, and the business was thriving and full of life-happy employees who cater to your every whim. They ensured your food was up to standard and the wine was to your liking. If you decide to go, they make reservations online at versivino.com or by phone. You can do a wine flight with your choice of red or white, but that is not all. You can also have a whiskey flight and a mimosa flight during brunch.    

   Their menu is so excellent that you would want the chef's recipe. It was heaven with menu items like Petit Lamb Chops and Lobster Malfadine and desserts like Brown Sugar Budino and Sweet Cinnamon Ice Cream. My friend Lynn and I went there on March 15th to have a much-needed girls' day out, and we may go back one last time. It was terrific and yet bittersweet.  

  So, we say Goodbye to Versi Vino, the best Wine bar in Maple Shade, we will miss you very much. 🍷

The Local Eatery & Pub

       Downtown Mount Holly boasts historic sites and offers excellent dining options within and around the area. One restaurant, Mount Holly, is not only a dining establishment but also features a Speakeasy that serves delicious cocktails.  The Local Eatery is located at 64 High Street, Mount Holly. thelocal-nj. The Local Eatery & Pub is the creation of owners Derek Little and Callum Satchell, who are long-time bartenders and coworkers from Princeton, NJ. From incredible craft beers and spirits to growing collaboration with other local vendors. You can visit the beautiful Red Wall Pub Restaurant and enjoy locally crafted beers, hard ciders, and handcrafted cocktails. You can also enjoy their delectable burgers, such as the bison burger, bacon, and brie burger, and the patty melt on marble rye bread. Each is served with fresh, locally sourced, house-cut fries topped with bacon, cheese, and a drizzle of dressing.

        If you desire to enjoy after-dinner drinks and engage in meaningful conversation with friends or have a date with your significant other, there is a speakeasy on the other side of the building. The location of the secret sliding door is something you will have to discover for yourself.  The Lounge is a private, charming "speakeasy" hidden away in the walls of the building. If you are lucky enough to find the hidden wall, you will be greeted by an incredible chief mixologist who will share her knowledge and service while you sit and relax in the comfort of their tufted leather sofas and chairs.

  The lounge also delivers a remarkable cocktail program and over 300 different types of American whiskeys to try. They are open 4 days a week, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 5-11PM and Sunday and every other week 4-8PM.  The Burlington County Times named Local Eatery & Pub the best whiskey bar in 2018.  

            

      My friend and I enjoyed lounging and conversing with friendly individuals who came for excellent food and delightful drinks, and we will definitely go back there again.
