Sharrott Winery/ South Jersey Pops Concert /Ark Road Brewery and Pub Restaurant

After several days of hard work this past Sunday, my friend Lynn and I decided to spend a girls' day having brunch at Sharrott Winery at 370 S Egg Harbor Rd. Hammonton, NJ. https://sharrottwinery.com . This winery, tasting room, and entertainment venue is an amazing place to have tasting events, weekly entertainment, and brunch, for which reservations are recommended. Sharrott has award-winning wines and delicious culinary delights that make anyone's mouth water.

For starters, we ordered a winery cheese plate with olives, pickled veggies, and fig jam, and if you want, you can add cured meat for a few dollars more. Next, we shared small plates of petite crabcakes with pickled carrots, cucumber, and sriracha aioli, Truffled cheesy potato hash with Cooper sharp cheese, peppers, onions, and truffle oil, and finally, a Truffled mushroom flatbread with sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, and truffle oil. Which pairs well with a bottle of Sharrott Trio Red Bordeaux style-blend wine. Sharrott also has fantastic entertainment, like local and out-of-town singers, during the weekends, holidays, and seasonal events.  PS The dessert is to die for, too.

Our next stop was Lenape High School for a "Back to the 70's" concert courtesy of the South Jersey Pops Orchestra.

They played music from the 1870s to the 1970s. The singers were excellent, and the cellos, violins, and harp were so soothing to the mind I just Loved it.

Our final destination is a local brewery and restaurant in Lumberton, NJ, called Ark Brewery, Restaurant & Pub, located at 106 Ark Rd, Lumberton, NJ, arkbrewery.com. It specializes in local craft brews, cocktails, and THE BEST (bleeping) BBQ IN SOUTH JERSEY!!!!!! Lynn and I shared a BBQ combo meal with 2 sides, a dinner roll, and pickled vegetables (ask your server which two sides you want to go with your platter). The meats in your platter consist of smoked pulled pork shoulder, Smoked Beef Brisket, and a Smoked pork rib. If you're a vegan/ Vegetarian, there are options for you, like fried pickles, black bean burgers, General Tso's Brussels sprouts, and even a hummus board. You can choose Buffalo, Alabama, Kansas City, or Carolina sauce if you want sauces to top your BBQ platter.

There's nothing like a Sunday outing that says brunch, concert, and BBQ (BCB), so get out there and have a ball with yourself, friends, and family. Where will I go on my next outing?  Only time will tell.  Until next time, have fun and enjoy life.

Dolsan Korean BBQ & Sushi Restaurant

This post is a bit late because I was working crazy overtime and double shifts at my job, so without further due.  Here it is!

Have you ever loved or craved excellent Korean BBQ and sushi in South Jersey? Last week, my friend Lynn and I went to the beautifully decorated restaurant called Dolsan Korean BBQ and Sushi, located at 3747 Church Rd., Mount Laurel Township, NJ, www.dolsanbbq.com. This is the MOST excellent restaurant we have ever been to. The staff grills the meals before you with gas to heat lava rocks and an overhead adjustable vent. Depending on your menu, the server changes the grill from a mesh-type grill to a solid grill.

The menu is Amazing, with appetizers ranging from jasmine rice, kimchi, and mandoo dumplings to a Korean BBQ Combo and a sushi menu that will make your mouth water. The Combo meal is excellent, and the prices are pretty for two people. As for the decor, it is a lovely Asian art deco (that's how I put it), but when you go, you may call it something different, lol.

The prices for lunch and dinner are reasonable, depending on whether you are dining alone or with family and friends. It's even perfect for date night.

So, Lynn and I Truly recommend going to Dolsan Korean BBQ & Sushi restaurant for lunch or dinner. Oh, and it's also a BYOB, so if you like a good wine or beer or even sake' with your Korean BBQ and Sushi, feel free to bring a bottle. If not, they sell delicious hot beverages like black and green teas and cold soft drinks.

Where will I go next, only time will tell. Enjoy life, be safe and have fun.

Brewery Thirty-Three & Blue Monkey Tavern

Peace, Love, and Beer is the motto for this local Riverton Brewery called Brewery Thirty-Three, where locals go for fresh, quality independent craft beer in NJ.

The Brewery is located at 601 Lippincott Ave., Riverton, NJ www.craftbrewery33.com. This brewery uses fresh local ingredients from local farmers and suppliers to bring you the best craft beer in the state.

The place is family-friendly, the staff is fantastic, and the selection is limited, but there are more new craft beers to come in the near future. They also provide food truck vendors from different restaurants, live music from local musicians, and an outdoor seating area, and it's right near the River Line platform if one wants to avoid driving.

My next stop is Merchantville, NJ, to The Blue Monkey Tavern, recommended by my unique, fun friend Lynn Nash. It is a beautifully renovated historic property with a mahogany bar serving delicious food and a fantastic craft beer selection from local craft beer venues. Blue Monkey is at 2 S Center Street Merchantville, NJ, bluemonkeytavern.com. They also have an outdoor dining area for special events such as live music, BBQ, etc.

As for the food at The Blue Monkey, they consist of pub-style dishes like you get in any tavern. For example, for appetizers: Coconut shrimp with sweet chili sauce (very delicious, I might add) and Ahi Tuna Kebab served with cayenne mayo. For Entrees: My friend Lynn Nash had the Iberian Fantasia, which is shrimp, scallops, and sausage with vodka in a spicy tomato, white wine, and cream sauce over angel hair pasta, and yours truly had Chicken Bella Bucca, which is chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto and fresh mozzarella in a Madeira wine sauce on top of sauteed spinach. It was excellent.

You can also choose beverages, such as craft beers from local breweries, cocktails, and your usual coffee and soda. As for desserts, well, we didn't have any because, of course, we were full, lol. But the desserts consist of a delicious homemade Ricotta cheesecake with raspberry sauce and whipped cream, Pot De Creme: Creamy Chocolate Custard with whipped cream, Brownie with vanilla Ice cream, and Butter Toffee Cake, a mini bunt cake served warm and topped with whipped cream.

The Blue Monkey is a fantastic restaurant, and I recommend this place for lunch and dinner. Bring the family, friends, date, or guys/girls' night out.

Well, my Jersey peeps, I hope you enjoyed today's read. Make sure you check out more blog-worthy posts next time, and until then, enjoy life and have fun.
